No talk about the cheap shot by Cernak, I hope he gets 5 games, he deserves it. Should get more but I doubt it.

The Cernak hit was bullpoop. Nobody wants to see that. And anybody who does want to see that crap should get an elbow in the face to see how it feels.

I want to see Dahlin and other talented players PLAY the game, not sit out due to injury. I hope Cernak eases off the goon throttle. I like a hard clean hit. I like a solid fight. I don't like chickenpoop cheapshots and dirty play.

Cirelli showed great hustle on that waived-off goal. Too bad it didn't count to keep his streak alive.

With an open mind I watched the hit a few more times. I initially said 1 game...nah... I think it's more like 2-4.

It's too bad. Cernak is a beast out there and, clearly, he's been told to play mean. Which is fine, but don't cross the line into dangerous.

I just try to call like I see it without any homer bias. I root for several teams besides the Bolts. I don't want to see anybody on any team get injured like that. Dahlin is an elite talent. I wanna watch that kid play, even if he scores a hat trick on "my" team and we lose.

I guess I got that way from years and years of the Lightning stinking up the place in the old days. We were cellar-dwellers and fans had to appreciate a good show by star players on either team. It made losing to Philly, Boston, Detroit, and Jersey tolerable - those teams owned us for a looooong time. But it was fun watching their stars skate all over us despite taking a loss - the loss was gonna happen anyway, so may as well appreciate great talent when you see it, regardless of the jersey.

DoPS needs name change and decisive leadership. 3 games for spitting, 2 games for concussion and Bortuzzo penalty is a joke. It is more about not hurting better teams. Cernak is second cheap shot by TB against Buff. Ring the bell and throw the book at cheap shots. 2 for hit to head, 2 for injury, 2 for repeat a$$hole and 2 to accusing a player of helping to cause his own concussion (glove helped). So DPS is now, I have no clue what is player safety.

The team actually floated the idea that Dahlin forced that dope's elbow into his own face. You can't come up with that without snickering. It's heartwarming that they can find the humor in such a vile play. Keep it classy, TB.
